Perennial herbs, up to 15-25 cm in height. Generally, there are two white fleshy tubers. The basal leaves are usually 3, elliptic, with thick midrib, protuberant abaxially, 3-5 cm in length and width; the cauline leaves are subulate, 1-1.5 cm in length and 0.5-0.8 cm in width, slightly clasping at the base. The flower stems are extracted from the leaves, and the racemes are terminal. The flowers are light green and look like a swallow. Capsule, very small seed.
