Evergreen shrub, 2-4m high. Young branches densely rusty tomentose. Leaves alternate, leathery, ovate to obovate elliptic, 4-8 m long, 1.5-3 cm wide, apex acute or obtuse, base cuneate, entire, yellowish green above, glabrous below, with brown hairs gradually falling off, midrib protruding below; petiole 4-5 mm long. Flowers solitary in leaf axils, fragrant; buds covered with brown hairs; pedicels short; perianth segments 6, white, obovate, arranged in 2 rings; stamens numerous, 1 cm long; aggregate fruit short; very?
