[collection] the fruits are picked when they are ripe, and the exocarp is peeled and dried in the sun.
[medicinal material] the dried mature exocarp is cut into spiral shape of 2-3 cm, sometimes banded and irregular flake, 1.5-2.5 mm thick. The outer surface is yellow or brownish yellow, with numerous small pits; the inner surface is yellowish or even white, often with linear veins. It is easy to break and the section is granular.
It is produced in Guangxi.
