[plant morphology] Lysimachia rosea
Herbs perennial, rhizomatous, 30-50 cm high. Stem solitary or several tufted, green or red, nearly smooth, glabrous. Leaves opposite; obovate to lanceolate, 3-4 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, apex pointed, base gradually narrowed into petiole, entire, abaxially with oil gland spots along margin, both surfaces nearly smooth. Raceme terminal, 5-13 cm long; bracts linear; flowers white or reddish; calyx 5-6-lobed, persistent; stamens 5-6, inserted in corolla tube; ovary 1-locular, subglobose, style filiform, ovules numerous. Capsule ovate.
Born in the low mountain valley, wetland. Distributed in Yunnan, Shaanxi, Hubei and other places.

Bitter, pungent and cold.
Functions and indications: promoting blood circulation, dispersing blood stasis, detumescence and pain relief, cooling blood and hemostasis, anti inflammation and promoting muscle regeneration. Treatment of fracture, traumatic injury, bleeding, fire burns, sores, carbuncle, sore throat, snake bite.
