Perennial herbs, 20-60 cm high, all with short white hairs. The rhizome is short. The stem is erect, with many clusters. The leaves are rhizomatous and cauline, and the root leaves have long stalks. Cauline leaves alternate, petioles shorter than basal ones, leaves heart-shaped or heart-shaped ovate, 2.5-5.5 cm long and 2-5 cm wide, margin obtuse serrate, both sides densely rusty glandular spots, veins with sparse pubescence; stipules herbaceous, ovate, margin with tearing long teeth, apex with tail tip. Flowers bilaterally symmetrical, long stemmed; sepals 5, strip lanceolate; petals 5, white or lavender, spur 1 mm long, saccate; stamens 5; ovary superior, 1-locular. Capsule elliptic, apex acute, 3-lobed.
It grows in broad-leaved forest, forest edge, roadside of gully, shrub, grassland, etc. It is distributed in Shaanxi, North and northeast of China.

Functions and indications: clearing away heat and toxin, reducing swelling and relieving pain. It is used to treat lung heat, cough, swelling and pain, sore, furuncle, swelling and poison.
