Herbs perennial, all villous. Stem single, 10-20 cm high. Leaves alternate, basal leaves oblanceolate, 3-5 cm long, apex pointed, base cuneate; cauline leaves lanceolate. Inflorescence: capitate, heterosexual, solitary, 2.5-3.5 cm in diameter; involucral bracts long lanceolate, margin ligulate, purple, 6-veined; central flower tubular, 5 mm long, apex 5-lobed, middle with sparse hairs. The outer layer is very short, and the inner layer is slightly longer than the corolla.
Born on high mountain slopes or mountain tops.
