[source] it is the tuber of Araceae.
[plant morphology] Helianthus edulis
Perennial herbs. Tubers oblate. The leaf blade is shield shaped or triangular, the apex is acuminate, the base is deeply split, the length from the joint of lobes to the place where the petiole is attached is about 1 / 3 of the total length of the lobes, the whole edge is green on the top with red purple halo, yellow white near the vein, pink green below with translucent spots; the petiole is about 3-7 times longer than the leaf, smooth and shield shaped. The fleshy inflorescence is shorter than the spathe.
It was born in the shady and wet place of Qinggou valley. It is cultivated in all parts of China.

Functions and indications: detoxification, detumescence, blood stasis and pain relief. Treatment of rheumatism, pain, tumefaction, stomachache, toothache, nameless swelling, mumps, carbuncle, sore, furuncle, tinea, eczema, pruritus, dog and snake, insect bites, knife and gun injuries.
[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 1-3 yuan; or grinding, 1-3 points. External use: tamping or grinding wine mixing application; or cut into small grain plug hole.
[should avoid] pregnant women should not take it.
[note] this product is toxic. The symptom of poisoning is laryngoglossal paralysis. It can be detoxified with ginger juice or ginger soup.
