[plant morphology] Welsh Onion
Perennial herbs, 30-45 cm high. The bulb is surrounded by fibrous leaf sheaths. Leaves lanceolate, base sheathlike, apex apiculate, both surfaces smooth, glabrous. The flower stems are erect and drawn out from the leaves; the umbels are terminal with several membranous involucres; the flowers are purplish red. Capsule.
It grows on high hillside, grass, etc. Distributed in Tibet and other places.
[collection] harvest from May to June. Fresh.
Warm in nature and pungent in taste.
[function indications] sweating, dispersing cold, detumescence and strengthening stomach. It can cure cold, headache, fever, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, and can connect bones.
[usage and dosage] oral: decoction, 3-5 yuan. External use: add honey to mash and apply.
