[plant morphology] Passiflora lunata

Perennial twining grass vines, 2-5 m long. The root is woody, many branched. The stem is cylindrical with fine longitudinal stripes and tendrils on nodes. Single leaf alternate, 2-lobed, 2 / 3 of leaf length, crescent shaped, about 4 cm long and 2.5 cm wide, midrib extending into a small cusp. Flowers solitary or two axillary, large and beautiful, green and white. The berry is spherical, fleshy, about 1.5 cm in diameter, yellowish green, with white stripes outside. It blooms in summer.

Born in the mixed forest of Xiangyang hillside. It is distributed in Yunnan and other places.
