Perennial twining herbs with milk. Taproot long conic, fleshy, skin gray brown, sparsely fine fibrous roots. Leaves opposite, oblong, apex pointed, base cuneate, dark green above, grayish green below, entire or microwavy. Flowers solitary, apical, campanulate, 5-lobed, purple; stamens 5, filaments enlarged below middle; ovary 3-locular, ovule numerous, stigma 3, very broad. Capsule.
It grows in gully, slope and bush. It is distributed in Yunnan and other places.
