Perennial herbs. Stem thin and weak, fleshy, stoloniferous, fruiting branches erect or inclined, about 10 cm high, purple. Leaves on branches alternate lanceolate or broadly linear, about 9 mm long, apex obtuse, base cystic, purplish green. Cymes terminal; flowers small, many, with short stalks; sepals 5, broad linear, shorter than petals, apex obtuse, green and purplish; petals 5, yellow, broadly lanceolate, apex pointed.
Born on wet rocks in deep mountains.

It is cool in nature and bitter in taste.
