Rattan wood, up to 8 meters long, gray black branches. Leaves subcleathery, oblong lanceolate, apex short pointed, base cuneate or suborbicular, 6-17 cm long, 2-7 cm wide, glabrous above and puberulent below; petiole 8-15 mm long, flowers small, 3-7 integrated into cymes, widely distributed on branchlets, opposite to leaves or axillary, yellow pilose; sepals 3, pilose; petals 6, 2-whorled, yellow brown pubescent. Fruit shortly stipitate, 2.5 cm in diam., pubescent yellow. Seeds reddish brown, smooth, flat, elliptic.
Born in the valley, river, roadside wet place. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.
