[plant morphology] Cymbidium goeringii
Perennial herbs. The tuberous roots are globose or ovate, about 1 cm in diameter, and the surface is grayish yellow to grayish brown after drying, with longitudinal wrinkles. Stem erect, 15-35 cm high. Leaves alternate, usually 2, on the lower part of stem, rare 3; leaf elliptic lanceolate, 4-10 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, apex pointed, base embracing stem, entire, parallel vein. Spikes terminal, 3-20 cm long; flowers yellow green, labellum absent, 3-lobed. Capsule oblong, about 6 millimetres long. It blooms in summer.
Born on hillside grassland. Distribution of northeast and Gansu, Shaanxi, Hebei and other places.
