[source] it is the root of Cinnamomum camphora. For the plant morphology, please refer to "camphor wood".

[collection] from February to April. Wash, slice and dry. It is not suitable for fire drying to avoid losing aroma.

[herbal medicine] is a cross cut or oblique cut disc with a diameter of 4-10 cm and a thickness of 2-5 mm. There are brown emboli on the edge, often falling off due to dryness. The section is light brown or yellowish brown with ring texture. It is hard and has camphor smell. It is better to have large, uniform, yellow and white color and strong smell.
