Jiwa grass

[source] it is the whole grass of xiaolanxuehua, a plant of Plumbago alba.
Small blue snowflake
Annual herb, 20-80 cm high. Stem erect, much branched, ribbed, sparsely spiny. The upper leaves are lanceolate, apex acuminate, base sagittate or auricular and embracing stem, entire or nearly entire; the lower leaves are elliptic or oblong, apex obtuse or pointed, base acuminate and petiolate, leaf margin with irregular spikelets. Spikes short or capitate; bracts ovate; calyx tubular, glandular hairy, longer than corolla, expanded after anthesis, 5-ribbed, non membranous between edges; corolla pink; filament base enlarged. Capsule annulate.
It is distributed in Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang and Tibet.

[clinical application] in the treatment of dermatophytosis and goose palm wind
Take 2 liang of Jiwa grass, seal it with 95% alcohol for 5 days, and filter out the extract. Or use 0.1g of jiwansu extracted from jiwancao leaves, add 95% alcohol, heat in water bath to dissolve, cool and filter, add alcohol to 100ml to form 0.1% jiwansu alcohol solution. 0.2g of jisongsu can also be taken, dissolved in a small amount of chloroform, and mixed with vaseline to make 0.2% jisongsu ointment. 63 cases of tinea manus and tinea pedis were treated with the above three preparations. Results 55 cases were improved and 13 cases were ineffective. The efficacy of the three formulations was similar, but 0.1% dipyridamole alcohol solution was easily accepted by patients. In the course of treatment, the side effects were very slight, only a few local burning pain after drug application, and disappeared immediately after drug withdrawal. If the drug concentration is too high, it can cause primary contact dermatitis.
