Evergreen shrubs, all similar to tea, but with thick branches. Leaves elliptic, 10-15 cm long, 5-7 cm wide, serrate margin. Flowers axillary, white, slightly larger than camellia; sepals 5; petals 5; stamens numerous; ovary superior; pedicel long. Capsule oblate. It blooms in autumn.
It is distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan and other places.
