Perennial herbs, 20-40 cm high. Rhizome erect, densely covered with bright black lanceolate scales with reddish brown edge, leaves clustered; petiole 7-20 cm long, glossy, brown chestnut, glabrous except for basal scales; leaf blade pentagonal palmate, 7-10 cm long, 5-8 cm wide, 2-3 pinnate divisions, the lowest pinnate largest, oblique triangle, pinnate again, lobes linear long elliptic; vegetative leaves slightly serrate, with lower pinnate The surface is covered with yellow powder, few with or without powder, the leaf quality is slightly thick, and the central axis is brown and chestnut.
