[source] it is the root of the honeysuckle plant Cotinus pinnatifida.
[plant morphology] Cotoneaster pinnatifida?
Perennial herbs, 30-70 cm high, all coarsely hairy. Roots stout, conic, branched, with fibrous roots. Stem simple, erect. The leaves are opposite, usually 4 at the top of the stem, nearly whorled; long ovate, pinnate, 10-20 cm long. Spikes terminal, pedunculate; flowers white; calyx tube ovate, lobes 5, persistent; corolla narrowly funnel-shaped, base side swollen, lobes 5, unequal; stamens 5; ovary inferior, 3-5-locular, with 1 ovule per locule. The berry is nearly globose, milky white, 6-8 mm in diameter, with 3 seeds. Seeds oblate elliptic, smooth, 6 mm long.
It is distributed in Shaanxi, Henan, Gansu and other places.
