Euphorbia chinensis
Annual herb, 30-90 cm high. The roots are slender, bearded and clustered. The culms are tufted, erect or slightly inclined at the base, with obvious nodes and long internodes. The nodes on the ground are easy to regenerate roots. The leaf blade is flat or slightly folded, linear, 7-25 cm long, 0.3-0.6 cm wide, apex acuminate, entire, slightly rough, leaf sheath glabrous, ligule 0.1-0.2 cm long, membranous, mostly finely divided into cilia. Panicles 10-30 cm long, branches and main axis slightly rough, branches 6 cm long; spikelets green white to purplish, 0.2-0.4 cm long, with 3-7 flowers; glumes membranous, unequal, with 1 vein, spine rough; lemma with 3 veins, apex acute, glabrous or with short hairs below; anthers about 0.5 mm long. Caryopsis, elliptic, ca. 0. 1 cm long. The flowering and fruiting period is from August to November.
Wild in roadsides, fields, streams and wet places. Distribution in East China, central China, South China and Sichuan, Guizhou, Shaanxi and other places.
