[plant morphology] semi shrubby herb, 30-100cm high. Stem erect or procumbent, densely yellow villous. Leaves alternate, leaflets 1-3, suborbicular, 2.5-4.5cm long, 2-4cm wide, apex slightly absent, base cordate, densely covered with gray white villi below, lateral veins pinnate; petiole 1-2cm long; stipules 1 pair, lanceolate, about 0.8cm long. Raceme axillary or terminal, bracts ovate triangle, each bract with 2 flowers; calyx bell open, calyx teeth lanceolate, 2 times longer than calyx tube; corolla purple, fragrant. Pods pubescent and uncinate, pods 3-6. The flowering period is from June to September and the fruiting period is from July to October.
It grows on hillside, grassland and shrub. It is mainly produced in Guangdong.
