[plant morphology] rabdosia Americana, also known as centipede grass.
Subshrub, 30-60 cm high. Stem thick, slightly branched, hairy. The leaflets are rectangular, 6-12 cm long and 1-2 cm wide, with narrow apex and rounded base. The upper midrib and base margin are hairy, and the lower vein is densely hairy. Raceme terminal, oblong tubular, 15-130 cm long; bracts brownish yellow, scaly, upper long lanceolate, about 25 mm long, long hairy, glabrescent; pedicels 5-6 mm long, each 2 close together, hairy; calyx shallow cup-shaped, 5-lobed. They are long hairy, 2 lanceolate at the upper part and 3 linear at the lower part; corolla butterfly shaped, purple blue, flag petal 6-8 mm long, round, with short claw at the base, wing petal 4-7 mm long, ear shaped, with short ear at the base, keel petal as long as wing petal, curved; stamen 10, 2-body; pistil 1, ovary almost sessile, style curved. Pods silver lead, 3-5 nodes, ca. 5 mm long. The flowering period is around October.
It was born in the mountain area. It is distributed in Guangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou.
