[plant morphology] perennial herb, 50-100cm high. The rhizome is short and massive. The vegetative leaves are triangular broad ovate, 30-50cm long and 25-40cm wide, with two pinnae below the top. The pinnules are lanceolate, the apex is slightly obtuse, the base is round cuneate, the edge is serrate, and the veins are forked. The pinnules of the sporophyll are very narrow, curled into a linear shape, and the sporangia grow densely along both sides of the main vein, and wither after maturity, sometimes on the same leaf There are vegetative and spore feathers.
