Lancang pole
(Honghe Chinese herbal medicine)
[synonym] zijingen, xiaobaiyao and xiaohuosheng.
[source] it is the root dermis of wild fire rope of oak family.
Wildfire rope
Small shrubs. The stem is 1-2m high, the branchlets are yellowish brown and covered with stellate hairs. The leaves are broad, ovate to ovate elliptic, 6-12 cm long and 4-8 cm wide. The apex is acute, the base is round or microcordate, the margin is irregularly double serrated, the top is green, covered with white stellate hairs, the bottom is gray brown, densely covered with brown stellate hairs, the base is 3-veined, and the petiole is about 1 cm long. Cyme axillary, 2-4 florets, perianth outside gray brown, inside orange. Drupe globose, indistinctly 4-lobed, hirsute.
It grows in the grass and sparse forest on the hillside. It is distributed in Yunnan.

Functions and indications: astringent, hemostatic, myogenic and bony. Treatment of traumatic bleeding, fractures, knife and gun injuries, sores and boils, swelling.
