Shao sauce

[plant morphology] Shao sauce, also known as fuliuteng (Tang materia medica), fuliuteng, fulishi and louteng (compendium).
Evergreen climbing vines, up to 10 meters high. Leaves alternate, large and thick, oval oblong, base often oblique, 10-15 cm long, 4-10 cm wide. Spikes, 5-15 cm long, pendulous. The berries are fleshy, greenish yellow, and connected into a long cylinder. The flowering period is from May to July.
It grows in the wet forest. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Taiwan.
The leaves of this plant (Shao sauce leaves) and the distilled oil of the leaves (Lou oil) are also used for medicine. Please refer to the special section for details.
[collection] after autumn, the fruits are picked when they are ripe, and then dried after one day's sun exposure.
[medicinal materials] the ear is dark brown, long and curved, about 3-6 cm long, and the peduncle is about 2-4 cm long, with longitudinal grooves. It is easy to break, and dust flies out when breaking, and the color of cross section is light. The gas is special and the taste is spicy. It is better to be dry, not moldy, spicy and strong.
