(1) hemostasis
The whole herb (mainly leaves) Decoction of Callicarpa nudiflora could shorten the bleeding time of rabbits, but had no effect on the clotting time of rabbits and mice. After injection of Callicarpa nudiflora extract, the clot retraction time of rabbits was shortened, which did not affect the quality and quantity of platelets. The extract also could not shorten the time of platelet free plasma recalcification, The hemostatic mechanism of Callicarpa nudiflora may be due to the contraction of capillaries. In addition, it has been reported that the injection of Callicarpa nudiflora in vitro can shorten the clotting time of sheep blood, and it can also shorten the bleeding and clotting time of dogs by intravenous or intramuscular injection.
② The effect on smooth muscle
The results showed that the extract of Callicarpa nudiflora had excitatory effect on the isolated intestine of mice, and the perfusion of rabbit ears could make the blood vessels constrict. The hemostatic effect on the digestive tract might be caused by mechanical compression and vasoconstriction.
③ Antibacterial action
In vitro, the decoction of Callicarpa nudiflora has good antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella typhi. It also has certain antibacterial effect on paraescherichia coli and Shigella flexneri. Among them, the effect of flower and leaf is better. In addition, it can promote leukocyte phagocytosis.
[toxicity] the acute toxicity test of Callicarpa nudiflora on mice and dogs showed that it had no obvious toxicity and did not cause hemolytic reaction, but the local irritation was great, and intravenous injection could cause thrombosis.

[clinical application] 1
According to the observation of nearly 200 cases, Callicarpa nudiflora preparation has a certain hemostatic effect on hemorrhage caused by pulmonary hemorrhagic leptospirosis, pulmonary tuberculosis, pulmonary abscess, lobar pneumonia, upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage caused by ulcer, thrombocytopenic purpura, hematuria, etc. It can replace agrimonin as a conventional drug. In the case of massive hemorrhage, other hemostatic agents were used. Usage: for hemoptysis and hematuria, intramuscular injection of 2% callicarpin injection, 4-8 ml each time, 2-3 times a day. For upper gastrointestinal bleeding, oral administration or infusion from the stomach tube with 50% nude pearl extract; or with compound nude pearl aluminum glue (1:1 naked flower purple pearl liquid 100 ml, Aluminium Hydroxide Gel 100 ml, Baiji powder 4 g, belladonna extract 0.15 g), 15~20 ml each time, 3~4 times daily. In addition, the gauze was soaked with 2:1 extract of Callicarpa nudiflora, and the incision was compressed. According to the preliminary observation of 301 cases, most of them stopped bleeding in 1-3 minutes. In this paper, we used the powder of Callicarpa nudiflora instead of cotton roll to stop the bleeding of extraction wound. According to the observation of 800 teeth in 500 cases, the effective rate was 99%. The bleeding can be stopped in 2-3 minutes.
② Treating burns
The results showed that the 1:1 ratio of Callicarpa nudiflora decoction could prevent wound infection, reduce the incidence of sepsis, reduce exudation, prevent fluid loss and promote wound healing. According to the observation of 104 burn patients, the cure rate was 97.12%. The average hospital stay was 19.15 days. Usage: spray method: spray the naked flower extract on the wound, 2~3 times a day. It is suitable for large area, special parts, pediatric burns, or gauze sticking on the wounds easy to fall off. Two small gauze application method: 3 × 2 cm (1 × 1 cm for children) single-layer sterilized small gauze block was applied to the wound after soaked with naked flower purple bead liquid. A gap of 0.5-1.0 cm should be left between each gauze block to facilitate drainage. In the first few days of treatment, spray the medicine on the gauze 1-2 times a day to keep a certain humidity. When it is close to the wound and there is no pus accumulation, the medicine can be stopped. If there is exudation between the gauze blocks, it should be cleaned up in time. If there is pus under the gauze block, the gauze should be replaced to remove the pus. After wound healing, the gauze can fall off by itself, do not tear off artificially. It is suitable for medium and small area burn. Three coating method and wet compress method: the naked flower purple pearl liquid was directly coated on the wound surface, 1-2 times a day. It is suitable for small area wound. If the wound is infected in a small area, sometimes the cotton pad can be used to soak the liquid for wet compress treatment. Change it 1-2 times a day, and then use the coating method after the infection is relieved. In addition, for deep second or third degree burn wounds, in addition to local medication, 50% naked flower Purple Pearl decoction or naked flower Purple Pearl injection can be taken orally, 3-4 times a day; if necessary, blood transfusion, rehydration, or application of broad-spectrum antibiotics. The disadvantages of the application of naked flower purple bead liquid are: there is short-term pain after the treatment of the wound; the wound is dyed purple black, and it is difficult to identify the change of the depth of the wound in the early stage. In addition, after a large number of use, the urine will be lavender, but according to animal experiments, it is harmless to the body.
③ Treatment of suppurative skin ulcer
The dried leaves of Callicarpa nudiflora were made into 3:1 Decoction for external use. Before the treatment, the wound surface was cleaned, and then a single layer of gauze was soaked in the liquid to cover the wound. If the wound is too small, it can be directly coated with naked flower purple bead liquid. Exposure or semi exposure therapy was used. 232 cases (32 cases of chronic skin ulcer) were treated, 228 cases were cured and 4 cases were improved. 87 days. According to clinical observation, Callicarpa nudiflora has obvious bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effect. In general, the purulent secretion disappeared 2-3 days after treatment, the inflammatory edema gradually subsided, and the granulation tissue changed from pale to fresh. The time for wound exudate culture to turn negative was 3-5 days. Because Callicarpa nudiflora contains tannin, it can form a film on the wound surface, which can make the wound dry, maintain granulation tissue and promote ulcer healing.
④ Treatment of cervical erosion
The suppository was made of naked flower purple beads and put into vagina to apply on the erosive place. Once a day, 7-10 days as a course of treatment. The vagina was washed with 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution and dried with sterilized gauze. In case of excessive secretion, 1.25g naked flower purple pearl extract tablet can be taken orally at the same time, 3 times a day. 26 cases of simple, follicular and papillary cervical erosion were treated. The results showed that 15 cases were cured, 9 cases were improved and 2 cases were invalid. The average hospital stay was 12 days.
⑤ Treatment of influenza
Take 0.25g naked flower purple pearl extract tablets orally, 1.25g each time, 3 times a day. 26 cases were cured, the average hospitalization time was 8 days. The average time of temperature dropping to normal was 3.5 days; headache, dizziness and cough disappeared in 2-3 days.
⑥ Treatment of acute infectious hepatitis
Take orally 40 ml of 50% Callicarpa nudiflora decoction or 1.25-2 g of extract tablet, 3 times a day. At the same time, the general treatment, including yeast tablets and vitamin C orally. For severe jaundice or high alanine aminotransferase, hypertonic glucose intravenous drip and prednisone oral administration were added individually. 124 cases of icteric and non icteric acute infectious hepatitis were treated, and the cure rate was 34.7%. The symptoms, signs and liver function of the cured patients returned to normal successively, and the average hospitalization time was 42.4 days. It is considered that Callicarpa nudiflora can promote the metabolism of bile pigment and protein, and rapidly reduce the level of alanine aminotransferase.
⑦ Prevention of postoperative infection
Methods: 300% Callicarpa nudiflora injection was injected intramuscularly, 2-4 ml each time, 3-4 times a day; or Callicarpa nudiflora extract tablet, 1.25 g each time, twice a day. It has been used in more than 100 cases of surgical and obstetric operations, and has the effect of preventing postoperative infection.
⑧ For disinfection
The 1:1 Decoction of Callicarpa nudiflora was used to disinfect the local skin and mucous membrane before injection or oral surgery, and to soak hands during surgery. According to the observation: 1. It was used to disinfect the skin of various injections for 11844 times, and no suppurative infection occurred in 1 case; 2. It was used to disinfect the mucous membrane of oral surgery for 1540 cases, and the rest healed well except for 1 case of infection after radical abscess resection; 3. It was used to soak hands in surgery, and a total of 200 cases of various operations were performed, and all healed in the first stage except for 1 case of incision dehiscence during intestinal anastomosis
