[animal morphology] macaque (Lu Ji's Shi Shu), also known as Jie (Zhuangzi), Mu Monkey (historical records), Wang sun (Liuhe Dongji), Ji Monkey (shenghuifang), Maliu (Leiyou zalu), Huang monkey.
The body length is about 45-51 cm and the tail length is about 18-20 cm. The face and ears are mostly flesh colored. The color of the buttock is more red than that of the female. There are cheek pouches on both cheeks. The limbs are thick and short, with 5 fingers (toes) on both hands and feet, and flat nails on the fingertips. The color of hair varies with region and age, generally dark brown, gray brown in the upper part of the back, and gradually dark brown in the buttocks. The shoulders and forelimbs are slightly gray, and the chest and abdomen are light gray.
They live in the mountains. They forage in the daytime and rest on rocks or trees at night. Gregarious, agile, good at climbing, jumping and swimming. The food mainly includes wild vegetables, wild fruits, bamboo shoots, insects, etc. it also steals corn, sugarcane and other crops. Distributed in southwest, South China, Yangtze River Basin, Henan, Shanxi, Hebei, Shaanxi, Qinghai and other places.

Femur of hind limb is about 17 cm long and 1.5 cm thick, slightly curved; fibula and tibia are about 15 cm long and 1.2 cm thick, fibula is thin. The bone is light and the appearance is not very white. The cross-section bone fat is not thick, but also white, bone marrow has been dry.
