Perennial succulent herbs, about 40 cm high. Root cylindrical, dark brown. Stem erect. Leaves opposite or 3-impeller, elliptic to rhombic, margin irregularly sparsely toothed, sessile. Cymose panicle with yellow flowers; sepals 4; petals 4; stamens 8; carpels 4. Follicles boat shaped. The flowering and fruiting period is from August to September.
It grows in the grass of high hillside wetland. It is distributed in Shaanxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.
