[medicinal materials] Polygonum fruit is oval oval, about 9-12 cm long, about 5-6 cm in diameter, truncated at the top, nearly round at the base, closely arranged carpels, woody, with curved tip at the apex, containing 1-2 seeds; seeds are triangular obovate, about 11 mm long, about 8 mm in diameter, bright red skin, black endothelium, and shallow furrow on the abdomen.
