[collection] from September to October, after the fruit matures, take the fruit, rub off the skin, clean and dry in the sun.
[herbal medicine] the dried fruit is cylindrical, 1-1.5 cm long and 1-2 mm in diameter. It is gradually pointed at both ends and has a brown surface. There is a groove formed by the compression of lemma veins. On the ventral surface, there is an arc ridge formed by the protrusion of embryo body from the base to the middle. The two sides of the ridge are slightly concave, and the length is up to 0.6 cm. The fracture surface is gray white, rich in oil, hard and brittle. The air is weak and the taste is sweet. It is better to have full seeds and no moth.
