Herbs perennial, up to 1.8 m tall, densely pubescent throughout. The basal leaves are petiolate, broad, broadly elliptic, 25n-50cm long, with sharp apex and irregular teeth on the edge; the stem leaves are large, sessile, semi amplexicaul, long elliptic, heart-shaped at the base, sharp apex and irregular teeth on the edge. Inflorescence axillary, yellow, 5-10 cm in diameter; arranged in corymbs, peduncle 6-12 cm long; involucre hemispherical, 2.5-5 cm in diameter, involucre imbricate, about 9-10 layers, outer bract leafy, ovate, surface densely short hairy; inner bract dry membranous, apex slightly pointed, margin purplish; receptacle bare, with nest; margin ligulate, female, apex 3 Teeth cleft; central tubular flower bisexual, apex 5-lobed. The roots of the same genus, Blumea racemosa, are also used as medicine in Xinjiang and Tibet. The morphology of the original plant is similar to that of this species.
