[chemical constituents] the plant contains 5,7,3 ′, 4 ′ - tetrahydroxy-8-methoxy-flavonol, 3-O - β d-galactoside, concanavalic acid, oleanolic acid, saponin, galactose with mannan, thiamine and riboflavin.
The flowers contain quercetin-3-galactoside and gossypol-7-methyl ether. The seeds contain γ - l-glutamyl-l-tyrosine and γ - l-glutamyl-l-phenylalanine, the former is more than the latter.
