[source] it is the old root of Raphani, a cruciferous plant, which is dried in the sun. For plant morphology, please refer to "Raphani".

[collection] after the seeds are mature, pull up the roots, cut off the aboveground parts, take the roots, wash them with water and dry them in the sun. Store in a dry place.

[medicinal materials] all of them are cylindrical, 20-25 cm in length, 3-4 cm in diameter, slightly flat, slightly twisted, purplish red or grayish brown, with uneven surface, wavy longitudinal wrinkles, often wavy lines cross to form a reticular texture, with horizontally arranged yellowish brown stripes and 2-3 cm long branched roots or root scars; the top has a hollow stem base, 1-4 cm long.
