Wine cake
Introduction:
The origin of "Jiuniang cake" (Jiuniang cake) in "cold food festival" is that people in Suzhou eat Jiuniang cake. It is said that it began in the late Yuan Dynasty. At that time, there was a man named Zhang Shicheng (1321-1367) in Suzhou. He took his mother to run for his life because he accidentally injured people's lives. At that time, it was cold food festival, and he had nowhere to beg. He had no food for several days. His mother was so hungry that she fainted. Seeing that she was about to die of starvation, Zhang Shicheng couldn't cry. An old man saw that Zhang Shicheng was very filial, and his mother and son were very pitiful. He made a cake from the few lees in his family and gave it to him. Zhang Shicheng's mother was finally saved. A few years later, Zhang Shicheng rebelled and became king in the Soviet Union. He thought of his life-saving benefactor at that time. In order not to forget this, Zhang Shicheng ordered the cold food festival to eat lees cake, which was called "Jiuniang cake". Later, Zhang Shicheng was captured alive by Zhu Yuanzhang and committed suicide on the way to yingtianfu. At that time, no one dared to call that cake "Jiuniang cake", but Suzhou people still had a lot of feelings for Zhang Shicheng, and quietly changed "Jiuniang cake" to "Jiuniang cake". So far, Suzhou people still have the custom of eating "wine cake" in spring
