Gonghexin Road Street

Gonghexin Road is located in the middle of Jing'an District, starting from Zhongshan North Road in the south, Yanchang Road and Laohutai road in the north, xibaoxing road in the East, beibaoxing road and Hongkou District in the East, Hutai Road in the West and Putuo District in the West. Gonghexin Road runs through from the south to the north, dividing the jurisdiction into East and West plates. The total area of the street is about 2.72 square kilometers, with 97630 residents (in 2010). It has 24 neighborhood committees (another one is under construction). The community environment is clean and beautiful, the social order is good, the public service is increasingly perfect, and the cultural life is rich and colorful.

The streets have "tea" resources combining culture and commerce. Zhabei Park and Songyuan tea house have formed the characteristics of traditional tea culture. Daning International Tea City and Tiffany international tea culture square have added fashionable colors and formed some influential tea culture brands. Therefore, they have won the title of hometown of folk culture and art in Shanghai.

Gonghexin Road Street won the title of municipal civilized community, safe demonstration community and the first "zero group rent" community in the city. Gonghexin Road is located in the middle of Jing'an District, bordering Hongkou District with xibaoxing road and beibaoxing road in the East, Putuo District with Hutai Road in the west, Baoshan Road, Zhijiang road and Tianmu Road in the south, and Yanchang Road, Laohutai road and Daning road in the north. The total area is 2.73 square kilometers.

The sub district office was established in November 1978 and moved to 489 Pingxingguan road in June 1998. It has 11 departments including economy and urban management. There are 21 neighborhood committees, 52 residential party branches and 18 general Party branches. There are 23141 permanent residents with a total population of 63373 and 11358 temporary residents.

Municipal Construction

Gonghexin Road Street is an industrial concentration area, and there is Hotan area which was once the most seriously polluted area in Shanghai. Since the 1980s, after the comprehensive treatment and development of the "three wastes" pollution in Hotan area, together with the construction of major municipal projects such as north-south viaduct, inner ring road and combined sewage treatment, the appearance of the street area has changed greatly. Hotan area has been rejuvenated. The long-term black and smelly Liuying River has been filled and afforested. Jinjiayuan
