Laozhou fingerling farm, founded in 1956, is located in Zhaodong city and on the Bank of the beautiful Songhua River. It is an aquatic enterprise mainly engaged in fishery production, with an annual output of 300 million fry, 600000 kg fingerlings and more than 500 tons of commercial fish.

Kutangmu, the largest lake in Zhaodong City, is located in this area. It mainly produces green fish. At the same time, there are 1500 mu original ecological reed marshes in the lake area. It is a habitat for all kinds of birds and a holy land for tourists. This area belongs to the continental monsoon climate of cold temperate zone, with less rain in spring and drought, hot summer and concentrated rainfall. The average annual climate is 3.2 ℃, the average annual effective accumulated temperature is 2830-2970 degrees, the sunshine is 2843 hours, the annual frost free period is about 141 days, and the average annual precipitation is about 438 mm.

Economics

Laozhou fish farm has a total water area of 8000 mu, including 2000 mu of intensive pond and 6000 mu of reservoir pond. It can produce 300 million fingerlings, 500000 kg of autumn fillets and more than 500 tons of adult fish annually. The fry, fingerlings and adult fish produced by our farm sell well in more than 30 cities and counties of the whole province, Jilin, Inner Mongolia and other provinces and regions. Over the years, it has made due contributions to the development of aquatic industry in our province and Fengshi common people's Cailanzi project.
