Bayan Chagan Township
Bayan Chagan Township, belonging to duerbert Mongolian Autonomous County, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southwest of duerbert Mongolian Autonomous County, adjacent to hujitumo town in the East, Talaha town in the south, dandai township of Zhenlai County, Jilin Province across Nenjiang River in the West and Jiangwan Township in the north. In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to fuyuwei and was a nomadic land of durbert tribe. It was a branch of ainaga and aduqi, the tribal leaders of later durbert tribe. There were three aynles, Amur Chagan, Bayantala and wogudun, for nomadic activities. In the Qing Dynasty, it was the seventh nutuk in duerbert banner of Inner Mongolia Zhelimu League. In the 25th year of Kangxi (1686), the Qing government set up a post station in Taihe in the north of Bayan Chagan Township, which is also called duoke Duoli orforo station, also known as duonai station, belonging to Heilongjiang general maoxing station. In the 32nd year of Guangxu (1906), durbert banner was opened to the outside world in the four sections of Mengdi, he, Nian and Feng. The surrounding area of Taihe was the field of he. Later, it belonged to the Bureau of wasteland affairs along the river of durbert banner and was stationed in duonai station. During the Republic of China, it belonged to the eighth ethnic group of duerbert banner in Heilongjiang Province, and later to the national democratic united government of duerbert banner in heinen province. In 1945, it belonged to nutuk. In 1947, it belonged to Wangfu district. In 1948, it belonged to the eighth district. In 1949, it belonged to the seventh district. In 1955, it belonged to Shengli District, then Bayan Chagan district. In 1956, it was divided into two townships, Bayan Chagan and Tuanjie. In 1958, Tuanjie Township was merged into Bayan Chagan Township, and later changed into rocket commune. In 1960, it was renamed Bayan Chagan commune. In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.
In October 2019, Bayan Chagan Township governs seven administrative villages.
