Yuanhe town
Yuanhe town is located in the west of Hongjiang City, adjacent to Yanlong Township in the East, Jiangshi town in the south, Tuokou town in the southwest, Heliao Township and lengshuixi Township in Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County in the northwest. The total area is 54 square kilometers.
Historical evolution
Before the founding of new China, it was Yuanshen township. After the founding of new China, it belonged to four districts (Tuokou District). In 1956, Yuanshen township was established. In 1958, the commune became Tuokou commune. In 1961, Yuanshen people's commune was established through the reform of commune system, and it was renamed Yuanhe commune in 1965. In March 1984, the commune was withdrawn and the people's Government of Yuanhe township was established. In October of the same year, the township was transformed into a town, and the people's Government of Yuanhe town was set up. The town government was located in hongyantou, qianyangping village, 34 kilometers away from the city governing Guizhou.
Administrative population
The town governs 10 administrative villages, including qianyangping, Shili, qingshuiqing, Yuancheng, Yuanhe, Dapo, Futuan, Baoyong, Yanqiao and yanjiaxi, 1 neighborhood committee, 100 villager groups and 4 resident groups in yuanshenchang, with 12426 people (in 2017), 558 non-agricultural population and 7912 ethnic minorities, mainly Dong.
natural condition
The town is mainly hilly areas, along the river there are a small number of Valley plains. The annual average temperature is 18.5 ℃, the highest temperature is 39 ℃, the lowest temperature is - 2 ℃, and the annual rainfall is 1200 mm. It belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate. There are 812 hectares of cultivated land, including 707 hectares of paddy fields. The forest area is 3057.5 hectares, the volume of standing trees is 37217 cubic meters, and the forest coverage rate is 57.7%. The Yuanjiang River is rich in water energy resources. There are 16 streams flowing into the Yuanjiang River. There are many local products, such as pottery, bamboo hat, yuanshenwan salt and spicy ginger.
economic development
The economy of the town is mainly agriculture. The leading industries are grain and citrus. There are 529 hectares of orchards, including 515 hectares of oranges. Watermelon, Jinqiu pear, grape, seedless Ponkan, chestnut, red bayberry and strawberry are all planted. The characteristic industries are tobacco industry and tourism. The town used to be a tobacco production base in Huaihua and Hongjiang. In 1997, 2000 mu of flue-cured tobacco was planted in the whole town, a record high. at the end of 2005, the per capita net income of the whole town was 1260 yuan, and the balance of deposits at the end of 2005 was 10.54 million yuan. With the economic development of the whole town, the total output of grain is nearly 6000 tons, the output of aquatic products is 3010 tons, the output of fruit is 6404 tons, the number of live pigs is 8086, the number of poultry is 290000, and the number of characteristic economic crops is more than 2000 mu.
tourist resources
In November 2002, the people's Government of Hongjiang City approved the establishment of yuanshenwan tourist resort in Hongjiang City. There are cliff sword, Zhuge ancient camp, Shili ancient kiln, Yelang cliff painting, Yuanhe ancient village, deep valley cave maze, landlord manor, Red Army martyrs' tombs, Red Army slogans and other landscapes in the area. The "Red Tour" with the theme of following the Red Army's path, the "black Tour" with the theme of visiting ancient times, the "blue Tour" with the theme of water recreation, and the "Green Tour" with the theme of experiencing farm life in the mountains and villages. One day tour, two-day tour or multi day tour can be conducted according to leisure time. The area has developed bamboo rafting, beach volleyball, Nongjiale Hotel, Qishi hall, Dong song and dance team and other projects. After the construction of Tuokou hydropower station, Yuanhe town will form a unique tourism scenery belt of hydropower dam.
