In the early Qing Dynasty, Hengtong town was a closed paddock; in February 1995, it was changed from hengtongshan township to Hengtong town. History of construction

In the early Qing Dynasty, it was a closed paddock. Qing Guangxu three years (1877), belong to Tonghua County North Yangzi road yiyangbao. Qing Guangxu 28 years (1902), is Liuhe County yiyangbao. Qing Guangxu 28 years (1906), is the fourth district.

In 1946, hengtongshan village was established, and in June of the same year, it was assigned to Hailong county. In April 1947, it was assigned to shengshuihezi District of Liuhe County.

In 1949, it belonged to the old six districts of shengshuihezi.
