Ziya Town, Jinghai District, Tianjin is located in the southwest of Jinghai District, adjacent to Yanzhuang town in the East and south, Wangcun town of Dacheng county and Degui town of Wen'an County in Hebei Province in the west, Wangkou town in the north and Liangtou town in the northwest. It covers an area of 60.1 square kilometers and governs 16 natural villages.

Ziya township was established in August 1957. In August 1958, the satellite commune was set up in dongziya. In May 1961, it was renamed Ziya commune.
