Liyuantun Town, subordinate to Weixian County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Weixian County, adjacent to wangguanzhuang town of Qinghe County in the East, Zaoyuan Township in the south, Guxian Township in the west, and Changtun Township and Changzhuang Township in the north. It is 17 kilometers away from the people's Government of Weixian County, with a total area of 55.4 square kilometers.
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Liyuantun town belonged to Weixian County of Hebei Province and Guanxian County of Shandong Province; in May 1985, it was changed from Liyuantun town to Liyuantun town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Liyuan Town was 36971. As of June 2020, Liyuantun town has jurisdiction over 23 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at No. 1 Wenhua Road, Liyuantun village.

History of construction
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Weixian County of Hebei Province and Guanxian County of Shandong Province.
In 1942, it belonged to Qingjiang county and Hongyi county respectively. In 1945, it was transferred to Weixian county.
In 1949, it belonged to the Ninth District of Weixian county.
In 1953, Liyuantun township was built, belonging to the Second District of Weixian county.
In August 1958, it was changed into Dongfeng commune; in November of the same year, it was changed into Liyuantun commune.
In January 1984, Liyuantun commune was changed into Liyuantun township.
In May 1985, it was changed from Liyuantun township to Liyuantun town.
In January 1996, Ganji township was merged into Liyuantun town.
