Nantai town, a town under the jurisdiction of Haicheng City, Anshan City, Liaoning Province, is located in the north of Haicheng City, bordering on Wangshi town in the East, facing the inspection administration area in the south, Gengzhuang town in the West and Ganquan Town in Qianshan District in the north, with an administrative area of 93.6 square kilometers.
In 221, the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Liaodong county. In July 1984, Nantai township was transformed into a town. History of construction
Qin Shihuang 26 years (221 years), is Liaodong county.
In 206, the first year of emperor Gaodi of the Western Han Dynasty, Xinchang County (now xiangyangzhai in the north of Haicheng), liaotun (now near Gaotuo) and Anshi (now dongnanyingchengzi in Haicheng) were built in Haicheng, and Nantai County belonged to Xinchang County.
In 404, Gaogouli occupied the eastern part of Liaoning Province, and Nantai belonged to Gaogouli.
In the first year of Tang Zongzhang (668), the Tang Dynasty recovered Liaodong, and Nantai belonged to Anshi Prefecture, the prefecture of Anton capital.
In November 1653, Haicheng county was transformed into Haicheng County, belonging to Liaoyang Prefecture.
In 1935, the village office was merged into Nantai district (Haicheng District). At that time, a village office was set up in the main village.

History and culture
The name of Nantai town has two origins. First, it is said that during the Shang and Zhou dynasties, a beacon tower was built one kilometer to the south of the village, so it is called Nantai. Second, during the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1661), Han, GE and Zhang family members from Dengzhou of Shandong immigrated here and settled down under a beacon tower. When people asked where they lived, they answered, "under the South Tower", so they called Nantai.
