Xita Street

Old street name. Xita street is located in the north of Heping District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. The district starts from Nanjing North Street in the East, ends at Beiqi road in the south, and ends at the boundary between Huanggu District and the railway line in the West and North. It covers an area of 1.15 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 36601 (2010). It governs six communities. The office is located at 54-6 Fushun Road. The city government road, Xita street, Taiyuan north street crisscross the territory. Shenyang is the economic, social and cultural activity center of Korean nationality, known as "little Seoul".

Historical evolution

In 1996, it covers an area of 0.5 square kilometers and has a population of 27000. It governs 17 neighborhood committees, named after the ordinal number. In 2002, the office was located at No. 3 Antu street, with a population of 42000 and an area of 0.58 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over seven communities, including railway, Antu, Hunchun, Fangdi, Yanbian, Yuwen and Tumen. In 2005, the west part of the former Beizhan street and Nanjing North Street was divided into Xita street. In 2007, the west part of the former beidaokou street, Nanjing North Street and the north part of Wusong street, beiqima road were divided into Xita street, and the office was located at No. 3 Antu street. in December 2019, Shenyang Civil Affairs Bureau issued the announcement on adjusting the administrative divisions of some streets in Heping District and other 10 areas, canceling Xita street and dividing its jurisdiction into beishichang street. After the adjustment, the north market neighborhood office remains unchanged.
