ERGONG Township, belonging to the new urban area of Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the north of the new urban area. It is connected with Kashi East Road Street in the East, Sangong street in the south, xuanrendun village in diwobao in the west, and Shihu village in Anningqu town in the north. History of construction
In May 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Sigong township was established in the second industrial area, which is subordinate to Urumqi county.
In July 1958, Sigong Township merged with Tuanjie Township and Minzhu Township in the suburbs of Urumqi to form Urumqi red flag commune, which was under the jurisdiction of the suburbs of Urumqi city.
In April 1960, the suburbs were abolished and under the jurisdiction of Urumqi county.
In December 1981, it changed its name to ER Gong commune.
In May 1984, Jiangong township was built under the jurisdiction of Urumqi county.
In April 2001, the zoning of the five villagers' committees was adjusted. Except jiujiawan village, all of them were under the jurisdiction of the new urban area, and jiujiawan village was transferred to the sandy area.
From June 24, 2004 to March 29, 2007, the villages were removed to build houses. Xiaoxigou village, ERGONG village and bajiahu village under the jurisdiction of ERGONG Township were transferred to the corresponding sub district offices one after another.
