Russian town
Russian town, which belongs to Horqin right-wing Front Banner of Xing'an League in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Horqin right-wing Front Banner. It is connected with hulitu Mongolian township of Taonan city in Jilin Province in the East, Yong'an Town, Baoshi town and Liuhu town of Tuquan County in the south, balag Village and Horqin town in the north. The area of the Russian town is 432.59 square kilometers, and by the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence has 23280 people.
In 1961, the town was separated and established into Russian commune; in 1981, it was changed into nutuk; in 1984, it was changed into township; in 2001, it was withdrawn from township and merged into town; in 2004, it was set up into Russian office; in March 2011, it was changed into Russian town. As of June 2020, Russian town has two neighborhood committees and 14 village committees.
In 2017, there were 11 enterprises in Russian town with 256 employees, including 2 industrial enterprises; in 2018, there were 2 industrial enterprises in Russian town with 61 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
