Longfeng town

Longfeng town is located in the north of Xuyong County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, 5km away from the county. It borders Tianchi town in the East, Xuyong town in the south, Xingwen County in the West and Xinglong Township in the north. It covers an area of 123.32 square kilometers and has a total population of 26097 (2017), including 31000 agricultural population and 786 ethnic minority population. It has jurisdiction over 1 neighborhood committee, 11 administrative villages, 167 villager groups and 1 resident group, and national highway 321.

On June 8, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Luzhou city to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns in Xuyong county and Gulin county (cfgm [2020] No. 5): Xinglong town was canceled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Longfeng Town, and Longfeng Town People's government was stationed at No. 26, Longfeng Road, longfengshe district.

Evolution of organizational system

Longfeng township was established in 1950, Yongfu township was merged in 1955, Yuejin commune was changed into Longfeng District in 1958, Longfeng commune and Shihe commune were established in 1962, township was restored in 1984, and Shihe and Shuangqiao Township were merged in 1992. In 1997, with an area of 127 square kilometers and a population of 31000, it has jurisdiction over 26 administrative villages, including Toutang, Fenglin, Wencun, Linjia, Baohe, Zhenglin, hou'an, Qinglongshan, Bajiao, Baiyang, Qingshuitang, Datang, wuguiyuan, Shuangqiao, Fengchi, Baoshan, Zhenfeng, Songlin, wuchazi, water conservancy, Yihe, Sanping, Siping, Siji, Sanjie and Shuangfeng.

In 2003, with an area of 127 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 26 villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 167 communities and 3 resident groups. The total population is 31380, including 30700 in agriculture. In 2004, with an area of 127 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 26 villages, 1 resident committee member, 167 communities and 3 resident groups. The total population is 32300, including 31600 in agriculture.

In 2014, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Xuyong County of Luzhou city was approved to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns: Longfeng township was abolished, and Longfeng town was established to govern the administrative region of the former Longfeng township.

On June 8, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Xinglong Town and put its administrative region under the jurisdiction of Longfeng town. The people's Government of Longfeng town is located at No. 26, Longfeng Road, Longfeng community.
