Zongzhai Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Suzhou District, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, is located 18 kilometers to the east of Suzhou city. It is adjacent to Shangba town in the East, Dongdong town in the south, Quanhu town and Xidong town in the west, and Huajian town in the north. The administrative area is 144.43 square kilometers.

Before 1949, it belonged to Zongzhai township. In 1983, it was changed into Zongzhai township. In 1986, Zongzhai town was rebuilt. By the end of 2018, the total number of registered residence in the town was 20845. As of June 2020, Zongzhai town has nine administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Zongzhai village.

History of construction

Before 1949, it belonged to Zongzhai township.

In 1950, JianZheng was divided into Xidian district and Zongzhai district.

In 1955, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, and three townships including Zongzhai, Shangba and Yinger were built.

In 1958, Zongzhai commune was established.

In 1961, it was divided into four communes: Zongzhai, Xidian, Shangba and Yinger.

In 1965, Xidian commune was merged into Zongzhai commune.

In 1966, it was renamed Shengli commune.

In 1971, Zongzhai commune was restored.

In 1983, it was changed into Zongzhai township.

In 1986, Zongzhai town was rebuilt.
