Maihutu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Liangcheng County, Wulanchabu City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Liangcheng County, bordering sanyiquan town of Fengzhen in the East, Tiancheng town in the south, Daihai town in the west, Dayushu town and shibatai town of Zhuozi County in the north, with an administrative area of 228.05 square kilometers.
In 1948, Fengzhen was divided into four districts of Liangcheng; in 1968, it was renamed maihutu commune; in June 2005, maihutu township was transformed into a town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of mahutu town was 29106. As of June 2020, maihutu town has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in maihutu town was 5991 yuan. In 2018, there were 16 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in maihutu town.
History of construction
In 1948, Fengzhen was divided into four districts.
After 1949, it still belongs to the Fourth District of Liangcheng County, with jurisdiction over nine townships, including guyingwa, liugedu, shuicaogou, chenxingtang, muditan, sandaoxiang, Muhua, Yuanshan and Haoqing, and one town, maihutu town.
In 1956, the district was changed to township.
In October 1958, Venus commune was established.
In 1968, it was renamed maihutu commune.
In February 1984, the commune was withdrawn and the township was built.
In June 2005, maihutu township was transformed into a town.
