Dongba town
Dongba Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Nanbu County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, is a pilot town for the construction of small towns in Sichuan Province, a pilot town for the construction of small towns in Nanchong City, a health market town in Sichuan Province, a model safe town for the comprehensive management of social security in Nanchong City, and a demonstration town for safe production.
Dongba town is located in the northeast of Sichuan Basin, the hilly hinterland of central Sichuan, and the middle reaches of Xizi river. Its center is located at 31 ° 11 ′ 08 ″ N and 106 ° 05 ′ 20 ″ E. It has 2 neighborhood committees, 19 administrative villages and 142 villager groups. With a total area of 35 square kilometers and an average altitude of 345 meters, it is a shallow hill with a forest coverage rate of 43%, a total of 14359 mu of arable land and a total population of 20101 (2018).
On October 29, 2019, meijiaxiang and Yaochang Township were abolished, and their administrative areas were put under the jurisdiction of Dongba town. Dongba Town People's government was stationed at 102 Zhengjie street.
Historical evolution
Dongba town has a long history. Dongbachang has always been a necessary place for the ancient pedestrian road from Baoning prefecture to Shunqing Prefecture. It is located on the Bank of Xizi river. There are two East and West dams on both sides of the river. The old site was originally built in Xiba, but was later destroyed by the war and fire, and was moved to Dongba, so it is named Dongba.
In the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566), there was Xingji and chongjiao township.
In 1910, the fifth autonomous region was set up, with jurisdiction over dongbachang (now Dongba town), Hebachang (now Heba town), meijiachang (now Meijia town), Taipingqiao (now Pingqiao town), liduchang (now tiefotang town), maanchang (now Mawang town), dayanba (now Dayan town), panlongchang (now Yaochang town), shilongchang (now Qunlong town).
In 1911, Dongba town was established.
The first year of the Republic of China (1912) remained unchanged along the Qing Dynasty.
In 1915, the county was divided into six districts, and Dongba district was still set up.
In 1927, Dongba District Office was established.
In 1935, ma'anchang was incorporated into the second district (in xinzhengba, now xinzhengzhen).

Dongba Town, located in the southeast of Nanbu County, Sichuan Province, is a subtropical humid monsoon climate zone with mild climate, abundant rainfall, no severe cold in winter and no severe heat in summer. It is 29 kilometers away from Nanbu County in the north and 51 kilometers away from Nanchong City in the south, with an area of 35 square kilometers and an altitude of 345 meters. It is a shallow hill with 14359 mu of arable land, 19 administrative villages, 2 neighborhood committees, 142 villager groups and a total population of 15023 (2017). Dongba town is the center town of Dongba District, and it is also the logistics center, business center, financial information center, radiating six townships and two towns of 130000 people in Dongba district.
Economics
In 2016, the total agricultural output value of Dongba town was 99.808 million yuan, the total rural economic income of the town was 99.54 million yuan, the total financial income was 6.86 million yuan, and the per capita income of farmers was 11228 yuan. The main food crops were rice, wheat, corn, sweet potato, etc., the main cash crops were rape, peanut, sea pepper and soybean, and the main minor grains were mung bean and pea. In 2014, we built 5000 mu of good quality poultry farms, 5000 mu of high-quality pig farms, and set up 5 000 mu of high-quality cement farms.

Transportation
The traffic of Dongba town is convenient. Shepan highway runs across the town. Chengdu Bus Expressway and Lanzhou Chongqing railway cross the town. Dongma highway, Dongmei highway and Dongda highway meet here. Dongba town has realized that every village has access to roads. In 2015, the land leveling and approval of qiaozhou landscape Avenue in Dongba, which is 1.7 km long and 36 m wide, was completed; there are more than 10 streets in the urban area, and each street is clean and tidy. Dongba town bus station has opened dozens of urban, provincial and inter provincial routes.
Street construction
Dongba town was founded in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. The North Campus of Dongba town primary school was originally located in Yuwang palace, which was the Huguang guild hall built in Qing Dynasty. The people's Government of Dongba town is now located in Jiangxi Wanshou Palace, which was built in Qing Dynasty. At the beginning of the people's Republic of China, there were two streets, the east end of which was parallel and extended to the west end. Zhengjie was the oldest street in Dongba town. There has not been much development in the 30 years since the founding of the people's Republic of China. From 1982 to 1990, the number of brick and wood buildings and steel concrete multi-storey buildings increased day by day. There were 1600 meters of water supply pipes in waterworks, 2312 people drank tap water, and electricity was used for lighting, production and processing. The concrete street is 2000 square meters, the sewer is 4200 meters, and the farmers' market covers an area of 200 square meters. In 1990, the building area was 81000 square meters. By 2018, there are 16 named streets in Dongba Town, with an area of 2.6 square kilometers.
Main street: it is located in the center of Dongba Town, with a north-south trend, starting from the old Dongba station and ending at the people's Government of Dongba Town, about 400 meters long.
Shunnan Road: it starts from the intersection of Yuwang road and Qiaobei Road, that is, the old bridge extends eastward to the station turntable and continues to extend southward, with a length of about 1100 meters.
Qiaobei Road: it is named because it is located in the north of the old bridge. It starts from the old bridge and ends at the starting point of Dongmei highway, about 460 meters long.
Yuwang Road: located under the former Yuwang palace, it starts from the old bridge and ends at the intersection of the ring road, about 460 meters long.
Paifang Road: it starts from the people's Government of Dongba Town, and then continues to extend southward, about 450 meters long.
Shuguang Road: it starts from the north side of Shuguang bridge and ends at the turntable of the station, about 360 meters long.
Xixing Street: it starts from the place where yangjiadian river flows into Xizi River and ends at the entrance of Yangjiaba square. The street is roughly parallel to Xizi River, about 140 meters long.
Yangci Street: it is named after the Yangjia Temple beside the street. It starts from Yangjiaba square and extends to Dongba Dayan highway, about 880 meters long.
Xiangyangqiao Street: it starts from xiangyangqiao, then encircles Yangjiaba square and ends at the bridge of Zhizheng street, about 290 meters long.
Riverside Street: it gets its name because it is located on the Xizi river. It starts from Yangjiaba village committee and ends at Dongba garbage transfer station, about 390 meters long.
Yimin Street: it starts near the turntable of the station and ends at Xiangyang bridge, about 380 meters long.
Market Lane: it gets its name because it is located in the farmers' market of Dongba town. It starts near the turntable of the station, then detours in the market and ends near the intersection of Yimin street and Zhengjie street. It is about 420 meters long.
Heshun Street: it starts from the public toilet near the old bridge and ends at Shuguang bridge, about 320 meters long.
Middle School Lane: it gets its name because it is located in front of Dongba middle school. It starts at Shuguang bridge and ends at the gate of Dongba middle school, about 60 meters long.
Jishi Lane: it was named after Jishi in the past. It is located behind Yimin street, near the intersection of Yimin street and Zhengjie street, and ends near Dongba police station. It is about 130 meters long.
Ring line: around Dongba Town, it starts near the village committee of yinjiawan village and ends near Dongba middle school, about 4900 meters long.

In 1825, the county magistrate in the South advised the rich families to donate money and set up a righteous school in Dongba town. The local old scholar was appointed as the head of the school. In 1904, it was changed into a primary school.
In 1922, Wang Pengfu, a squire of dongbachang, founded dongbachang LIANLI primary school in Yuwang palace, which is the predecessor of today's Dongba town primary school. In 1936, it was renamed the fourth Senior Primary School of Nanbu county. In 1940, it was renamed Dongba Zhongxin primary school. After liberation, it was Dongba Township complete primary school. In September 1958, it was Dongba commune complete primary school In 2006, it was merged with Dongba middle school to form a nine-year consistent school in Dongba town.
