Donghe Township, located in the north of Lancang County, is one of the old revolutionary base areas of Lancang County. It is 143 kilometers away from the county, facing qianliu across the mangpa River in the southeast, Nanling Township in the southwest, Fubang Township in the west, shangyun town in the north and Dashan Township in the northeast. Historical evolution
Donghe was under the jurisdiction of the tuba of Donghe in Qing Dynasty, and belonged to Daling Township in the period of the Republic of China. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Donghe District and Donghe commune were established with Dashan for a long time. In 1984, Donghe District was established separately from Dashan, and in 1988, it was changed into Donghe township.
