Hongqi Manchu Township, belonging to Beilin District, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southwest of Beilin District and the connecting area of Songnen Plain with Xiaoxing'an Mountains. It borders Yong'an Manchu town in the East, West Changfa town in the south, Linjiang town in Lanxi County in the West and LIANGANG Township in the North. In 2018, the red Manchu Township area was 99.9 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 18016.
In October 2019, the red flag Manchu countryside governs five administrative villages.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Hulan city guard.
In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Shuian District of Suihua Prefecture.
During the Republic of China, it belonged to Yong'an town of Suihua county.
In the late period of northeast occupied by Japanese, red flag village was set up.
After the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945), it belongs to Yong'an district.
In 1951, it belonged to the fourth district.
In April 1956, Hongqi township was set up, with jurisdiction over eight administrative areas, namely, honger, Hongsan, Hongsi, Hongwu, toudaogang, liumajia, Shandong (Hongfa) and pinganlin (Honglin).
In August 1958, it was incorporated into Yong'an commune.
In 1961, the red flag commune was established.
In 1976, Hongyu group was added.
In March 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.
In July 1988, it was changed into a Manchu Township in Hongqi.
In 2004, Hongsan village was merged into Hongsi village, Honglin village into honger village, Hongsheng village into Hongfa village, Hongyu village into Hongwu village.
